Beginning Band and Advanced Band
This is a FREE program available to students in grades 4th and 5th grade. (Parents are responsible for obtaining their child’s musical instrument.) MATES does have a limited supply of instruments to lend out.
Rehearsals are held at MATES. Students who have played their instrument for one year qualify for the advance band. Students who have never played their instrument qualify for the beginning band.
Dates & Times
Band classes begin the week of September 15t and run through May 2026.
Beginning Band
Flutes, Calrinets and Alto Saxophones: Mondays 3:00 -4:00 pm
Trumpets, Trombones, and Percussion: Wednesday 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Advance Band
Tuesday: 10:10 am – 10:45 am
Fridays 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Camarillo Christmas Parade: Saturday, Dec. 13th
Band Concert: Tuesday, Dec. 16th
